Big Dark Eyed Cutie

Today was a wonderful day. We had a pretty restful day until evening. It is so hot that our guide decided it would be best for us to save our activities for evening instead of afternoon. So we did not do much today until we got together at 5:30. The first thing we did was take a bus ride to the Prince Restaurant. It was so cool! They sat 8 people at four round tables with a lazy susan in the middle and our guide ordered several different dishes which you will see in the pics. We were all pretty adventurous except for a select few. I surprised myself and tried several things and most were actually good if not very good. You can see a whole fish that is sort of cut like a blooming onion (as us Americans know it as) but it was covered with a sauce sort of like sweet and sour sauce. We also had lotus root, corn, some kind of crispy duck or turkey skin that you put some type of teriyaki sauce and rolled it in a very thin flour like tortilla, dumpling soup, spicy beef and a few other things that were very interesting. We can actually say we have genuinaly eaten Chinese food. After the restaurant we went and rode the bus through a very nice park which is located on the Yantze River (which is the third largest river in the world if I remember right). The park was very pretty at night but we did not get out and walk along the beach side of it because it was dark and the babies were getting sleepy if not asleep already. We came back to the room tonight and I could not wait to post because I have some very good pics today to make up for the lack of yesterday. Kassidy fell asleep on the bus but woke up while going up to the room and is giving daddy a hard time putting her back down. She has definitely made up to mommy better than the past few days. She still prefers daddy but is slowly letting mommy do more and more for her. Hope you enjoy the pics and miss everyone and hope to see you soon.
